Drones For Kids – 4-Week STEM Drone Program The Drones For Kids 4-Week STEM Program is a hands-on educational experience designed to introduce students to the exciting world of drones, aviation, and digital media. Throughout four weeks, students build confidence while learning the fundamentals of drone technology in a safe, engaging environment. What Students Will Learn ● Drone safety and responsible flight operations ● FAA rules and regulations for recreational drone pilots ● Basic drone assembly and maintenance ● Flight controls and maneuvering techniques ● Obstacle course challenges and precision flying ● Aerial photography and videography ● Introduction to video editing, including trimming clips, transitions, and effects ● Teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Hands-On Learning Every class emphasizes practical experience. Students spend time flying drones, completing fun flight challenges, and working together on creative projects. As the program progresses, they combine their flight footage into their own edited videos to showcase what they’ve learned. Final Week During the final week, students present their completed video projects to family and friends, celebrating everything they’ve accomplished throughout the program. Parents are also encouraged to participate in a fun FPV (First Person View) flying experience to see the technology firsthand. Take It Home One of the highlights of the program is that each student receives a drone to keep, allowing them to continue practicing and developing their skills long after the course ends. Build It.
