Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the operator of Arizona Christian Homeschools to explain, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it. Questions: gongstad@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Program submissions and claims. Name, email, phone, program details, and anything else you put in the submission form.
• Owner accounts. If you claim a listing, we create an account using your email (managed by Supabase Auth). We do not store passwords directly.
• "My List" emails. If you email yourself a saved list of programs, we store the email address and the list you sent so we can deliver it and avoid spam.
• ESA chat conversations. Questions and answers are logged with an anonymous per-visit session ID so we can improve the assistant. Do not enter personal information into the chat.
• Payments. If you purchase a featured listing, Stripe processes the payment. We receive a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe but do not see or store your full card details.
• Standard server logs. IP address, user agent, and request paths, used for security and debugging.

What we don't collect

• We do not collect children's information.
• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, ever.
• We do not run third-party advertising trackers or ad networks.

How we use it

• To publish, edit, and verify program listings.
• To send transactional email (submission confirmations, owner invites, "My List" emails, billing receipts).
• To operate the ESA chat assistant and improve its answers.
• To prevent abuse and keep the site running.

Who we share it with (subprocessors)

• Supabase - database, authentication, file storage.
• Lovable / Cloudflare - hosting and edge infrastructure.
• Stripe - payment processing for featured listings.
• Google AI (Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway) - embeddings and chat responses for the ESA assistant.
• Resend / our email provider - transactional email delivery from notify.arizonachristianhomeschools.com.

Cookies and local storage

We use the minimum needed to run the site: a session cookie for signed-in owners and browser localStorage for your "My List" of saved programs. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies at this time.

Retention

• Program listings: kept while the site operates, unless removed by you or us.
• Submissions and chat logs: kept indefinitely unless you request deletion.
• Billing records: kept as long as required by Stripe and tax law.

Your choices

• Edit or remove your listing. Sign in as the owner, or email gongstad@gmail.com.
• Delete your data. Email us and we'll remove your account, listing, submission, or chat logs (legal/billing records may be retained where required).
• Cancel billing. Use the billing portal link in your owner dashboard or email us.

Security

We use standard practices (TLS in transit, managed databases with row-level security, signed-in admin access, secrets stored as environment variables). No system is perfectly secure. If you find a vulnerability, please email gongstad@gmail.com.

Children

The site is intended for parents and program operators, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted at the top.
