About

Rise & Shine Pathways & Life Skills is a Christian-founded, community-based program in Tucson serving adults ages 18+ who benefit from additional support as they transition into employment, greater independence, and adult life. We believe adulthood should bring continued opportunities to learn, contribute, build relationships, discover strengths, and experience meaningful inclusion in the community. Our hands-on Pathways Curriculum combines employment readiness, independent living and life skills, communication, money management, workplace safety, self-advocacy, technology, transportation, food preparation, community integration, and career development. Participants do more than complete worksheets—they practice real adult skills through Career Lab, Lunch Lab, realistic workplace activities, community experiences, employer exposure, projects, and everyday problem-solving. Rise & Shine follows a LEARN → PRACTICE → EARN → WORK INDEPENDENTLY pathway while recognizing that independence looks different for every person. Instruction is accessible, adult-centered, strengths-based, and designed to build confidence without removing appropriate support. Our goal is not simply to help someone get a job, but to develop the skills needed to maintain employment, advocate for themselves, participate safely in the community, and build a successful adult life. Rise & Shine is rooted in Christian values of service, dignity, love, and purpose while welcoming the individuals and families we serve. Our program officially opens November 30, 2026, with enrollment available for adults 18+.
