About

I believe every student is a capable learner. Too often, students are told that they simply “aren’t good” at a certain subject, when what they really need is patience, encouragement, and someone willing to help them discover how they learn best. My goal is to come alongside students with patience and enthusiasm, helping them develop critical thinking skills while discovering that learning can be meaningful and fun. I believe tutoring is also an opportunity to model what it looks like to follow Jesus. Each student is uniquely made in the image of God, and I want them to know how fearfully and wonderfully made they are. As we explore the incredible world God has created, I hope to nurture both a love of learning and a desire to know and glorify Him. I was homeschooled through elementary school myself, so I know firsthand the joys and challenges of the homeschooling journey. I have tremendous respect for parents who pour so much time, energy, and love into educating their children, and I want to come alongside families as a source of support and encouragement. My hope is to invest in students and families and help them grow educationally, spiritually, and socially. I come from a family of ten children, which has given me experience with many different ages, personalities, and learning styles. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University and student taught at a Christian school in Glendale, Arizona. I am now pursuing graduate studies at Talbot School of Theology as I prepare for a career in ministry, with hopes of teaching and homeschooling my own children in the future. Above all, I want students to know that they are capable, valued, and created with purpose. It is a privilege to walk alongside them as they learn, grow, and discover the gifts God has given them. I look forward to meeting and working with you. I am certified in all core subjects K-8th grade and am excited to share the joys of learning with your students.
