About
PrereqCourses.com helps homeschooled high school students earn real, transferable college credit from home. Our mission is simple: give families an affordable, flexible way for motivated teens to get a head start on college without stepping away from the homeschool life they've built. Every course is delivered through Upper Iowa University, which is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, so students finish with credit on an official university transcript that colleges nationwide recognize, not a certificate or a credit recommendation that may or may not transfer. There are no live class times to schedule around. Courses are fully self-paced, and new sessions begin the first of every month. A typical week looks however your family needs it to look: a student might work through readings, video lessons, and assignments a few mornings a week around co-op days, church commitments, and family life, moving quickly through material they grasp easily and slowing down where they need more time. Parents stay in the driver's seat, choosing which courses fit their student and their family's values, while our team and university instructors handle the academic support and grading. We serve homeschool families whose teens are ready for college-level work, and we're an especially good fit for students headed toward nursing and other health careers, since our catalog is built around the general education and lab science courses (anatomy and physiology, microbiology, chemistry, and more) that college programs require. Many families use us for dual-credit-style learning in the junior and senior years, so students enter college with prerequisites already complete. Pricing is flat and transparent: $675 per 3-credit course and $695 for 4-credit lab sciences, with no hidden fees. For Arizona ESA families: we are set up in ClassWallet to accept ESA payments. That is a payment arrangement only, not a vetting or endorsement by ADE, and allowability determinations always rest with the program. We provide detailed syllabi, course descriptions, and invoices for every course so your documentation is always in order. Families on the affidavit homeschool pathway are equally welcome and pay the same flat rates directly. Questions are welcome anytime; we're glad to help you figure out whether college credit is the right next step for your student.
