At Uncommon Ground Collective, my mission is to help students grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and discover their unique strengths through individualized, engaging instruction. I believe every child learns differently, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged, challenged, and understood. A typical week includes one-on-one tutoring tailored to each student's needs in reading, writing, language arts, study skills, executive functioning, and homeschool support. Lessons are interactive and personalized, incorporating discussion, games, hands-on activities, and real-world connections rather than relying solely on worksheets. What makes Uncommon Ground Collective unique is the emphasis on the whole child. As a graduate counseling student and substitute teacher, I bring an understanding of child development, relationship-building, and social-emotional growth into every tutoring session. My goal is not only to improve academic skills but also to help students build confidence, resilience, and a lifelong enjoyment of learning.
