Trinity Arch Preparatory School for Boys

Phoenix4-12

A Christian hybrid small school where boys grow in wisdom, character, and purpose. We partner with Christian homeschooling families to provide an exceptional education for boys ages 10–18. Through small tutorial groups, outstanding male mentors, rigorous academics including dual enrollment opportunities for high school students, daily physical training, and more than 15 expeditions each year, boys develop the confidence, discipline, and leadership needed to flourish. School at Trinity Arch looks different from a traditional classroom. Boys spend their days in small tutorial groups with expert tutors who know them personally, engage in rigorous academics, participate in Socratic discussions, pursue independent "Deep Think" projects, play chess, train physically each day, and explore Arizona through expeditions. Our goal is to cultivate young men who love learning, embrace responsibility, and are prepared to lead lives of faith, service, and purpose. Every family is different. We offer flexible scheduling options and work alongside parents to design a program that complements their homeschooling journey. Many families qualify for significant scholarship assistance, making a Trinity Arch education more affordable than they might expect. We intentionally limit enrollment so every boy is truly known, challenged, and encouraged. If you're looking for a Christ-centered community where your son can flourish academically, physically, socially, and spiritually, we'd love to meet your family.

Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey-Humboldt — the Quad Cities — have a small but unusually strong homeschool tutor bench, including one of the state's best structured-literacy specialists. Arizona's ESA covers tutoring here just as it does in the Valley, and online tutors fill any remaining gaps.

Tutors Serving the Prescott Area

When Prescott Families Hire a Tutor

  • A struggling or dyslexic reader needs Orton-Gillingham or Barton instruction.
  • Math has stalledSaxon, Math-U-See, or Teaching Textbooks.
  • High school outruns parent capacity — Chemistry, Latin, Advanced Math, and college prep. Online is often the right answer here given the smaller local pool.
  • Music lessons — piano, guitar, drums, voice, all ESA-eligible.

What Prescott Tutors Charge

  • Elementary: $35–$55/hour
  • Middle school: $40–$70/hour
  • High school math and sciences: $50–$85/hour
  • Structured literacy / dyslexia: $60–$100/hour
  • Music lessons: $30–$60 per 30–45 minute lesson

Northern Arizona in-person rates run slightly below Phoenix; online rates match Valley pricing. Most Quad Cities ESA families cover the full cost through ClassWallet.

Tutoring is an approved Arizona ESA expense — as is music instruction from a qualifying provider. • Confirm ESA vendor status or reimbursement flow.
  • Do a trial session before committing.

Smart Cookie Tutoring

Hi families! I love Jesus! He is my Savior and Lord. I hold a BA in Elementary Education. I’ve been a private tutor for many years, and became an ESA tutor about nine years ago. I love it! I teach all ages (they are all my favorites!) and all subjects. For some students, I tutor them in all their subjects, working alongside them to get their daily coursework done quickly, For others, I teach one or two subjects, such as reading, writing, and mathematics. I am passionate about supporting home school families! My husband and I home schooled our own 5 kids. I see my role as supporting parents and students. My tutoring style is unique in that I work with whatever curriculum you choose, and tailor each session to right where your student is at, working through each lesson, offering immediate feedback and lots of encouragement! I try to make sessions fun and engaging. I tutor Reading Literature Mathematics Spelling Grammar Writing History Science Apologetics I love to teach writing, whether it’s with a new writer, encouraging budding skills, or with a high schooler, preparing them for college writing. I’m very patient. It’s quite rewarding to work with a student for weeks of months and then see the lightbulb come on! Wow, what a privilege it is to be a part of that. I tutor both online and in person in Prescott. Working one-on-one, we can accomplish a lot! I look forward to working alongside your family.

The Drum Pro, LLC

I am a versatile drummer in gospel, funk, soul, jazz/rock fusion, R&B, Latin, country & praise & worship. I have recorded, toured in the Northwest, played with a variety of bands (rock, folk, blues, pop & alternative) and played with many talented worship leaders like Duff Rowden and Kyle Rasmussen. I have played in 11 countries & across the United States. One of my gifts is to take my years of experience and share it with the next generation. Parents and students appreciate my patience with learning students as well as my thoroughness as an instructor. I have taught as many as 24 students a week and worked with many musicians in local worship workshops. We cover everything from reading music, snare rudiments, drum set, timekeeping, playing to different genres, listening withing a group, soloing techniques, miking the drums to topics and music the student is interested in. I have worked with a few students with dyslexia, ADHD and special needs. I am a session musician, most recently played drums with the Country Hip-Hop band Whosoever South (WhosoeverSouth.com) in June 2026. I also travel regionally as a drum contractor with the Worship Support Network and have played on many worship teams across Arizona. I am the drum instructor at Rockin Worship Bootcamp (RockinWorshipAZ.com). It is such a fun & meaningful music camp taught by today’s touring musicians and industry professionals. My heart is for ministry & using my abilities to lift up the church body & reach people for Jesus. Most of my experience is playing modern contemporary Christian music (CCM). I have played drums for large regional denominational conferences in Oregon, Washington and Alaska as well as playing for numerous churches across the country. Of course, I am a private drum instructor, ESA vendor (music tutor), play weekly at my local church and play drums with pastor/guitarist Ronnie James (southern rock, blues & worship) for special events like Hope Fest in Prescott.
