FeaturedElementary Writing Tutor
Helping Students Become Confident Readers and Writers I'm Kristi Wolch, M.Ed., founder of Elementary Writing Tutor. I provide one-on-one online reading and writing tutoring for students in grades 4–8, with a special focus on neurodiverse learners, including students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia traits, executive functioning challenges, and reluctant writers. I also support homeschool families who want extra guidance teaching reading and writing at home. Every child learns differently, so every lesson is personalized. Before instruction begins, I assess each student's strengths and areas of need, then create an individualized plan that builds skills step by step. Sessions combine explicit instruction, engaging activities, and plenty of encouragement so students gain both academic skills and confidence. Whether we're strengthening reading comprehension, improving sentence writing, organizing essays, building vocabulary, or mastering grammar, each lesson is designed to support student growth. My background includes more than 10 years as a special education classroom teacher, followed by over a decade of private tutoring. I also hold a master’s degree in special education from the University of Washington. Since 2015, I've worked with students both online and in person, helping children who struggle with reading and writing become more independent learners. I love finding creative ways to make challenging concepts manageable, especially for students who have begun to believe they "just aren't good at writing or reading." Families often tell me that their children not only improve academically but also become more willing to write, participate in reading activities, and tackle assignments independently. My goal is to help students develop the confidence, communication skills, and learning strategies that will serve them for years to come. I believe parents are valuable partners in the learning process, and I work hard to make sure they understand their child's progress and know how to support learning between sessions. My Christian faith is an important part of who I am and guides the way I serve others with kindness, integrity, and compassion. While faith is not the focus of tutoring, I am comfortable teaching with Christian curriculum and publishers when families request them. I always respect each family's preferences and follow their lead regarding faith-based discussions during lessons. If you're looking for a patient, experienced tutor who understands how to meet students where they are and help them grow, I'd love the opportunity to support your child in becoming a more confident, capable reader and writer.

FeaturedWrite Well Academy - College Esssay and Writing Tutor, Writing Professor
Hello, my students call me Ms. Kelly. I help students become stronger, more confident writers without taking over their work. My goal is to help students understand how writing works, find their own voice, and develop a process they can use again and again. I want them to leave tutoring with more than a finished assignment. I want them to know how to begin when stuck, organize ideas, revise thoughtfully, and trust themselves as writers. A typical week is shaped around the student rather than a rigid curriculum. We may work on a homeschool essay, prepare for AP English Language, strengthen grammar and sentence structure, practice literary or rhetorical analysis, develop research skills, or revise a college or scholarship essay. I keep the work focused and manageable, with clear next steps rather than a mountain of corrections. I work with students from middle school through college, including reluctant writers, advanced writers who need deeper feedback, and students who have struggled with traditional writing instruction. I also support families preparing for dual enrollment, AP courses, college-level writing, and the college application process. Parents are kept informed, while students are encouraged to take ownership of their work and become more independent. I teach writing as a process, not a formula. I have more than 25 years of experience teaching college writing and supporting developing writers. My background includes composition and rhetoric, AP English Language instruction and scoring, student success coaching, college essay coaching, and expressive writing. Write Well Academy offers flexible, individualized online instruction and is an approved Arizona ESA vendor. Each student’s work is built around current needs, family goals, academic plans, and long-term growth. If your student is preparing for college application season, I am happy to send you a free college essay workbook with no obligation.

College Career Compass™

Many students are asked to think about college, careers, majors, scholarships, and future plans before they have had time to build real direction. College Career Compass™ gives students a structured process for exploring who they are, what options are available, and what next steps may be worth taking. A typical week may include watching a short online lesson, completing guided workbook activities, reflecting on strengths, interests, values, or future goals, researching a career or pathway, comparing options, and adding evidence to a personal direction portfolio. Because the program is self-paced, families can move through the lessons in a way that fits their schedule while still giving students structure and accountability. What makes College Career Compass™ distinct is that students are not simply completing worksheets or collecting career information. They are building a personalized direction portfolio that can support parent conversations, high school planning, college preparation, career exploration, scholarship awareness, resume-building, and next-step decision-making. The goal is simple: students do not need to have life figured out, but they do need direction.

We work hard to ensure each graduate is deeply rooted in the truth of Christ, not just so they can withstand the deception of our current culture, but that they may work to transform it for the better. MOAAZ combines tried-and-true teaching methods with the most cutting-edge educational research. We focus on having students not only remember information but also apply it through experiential learning, hands-on activities, field trips, and creative projects. Our teachers receive continuous professional development training, learning new teaching skills that they implement directly in the classroom. We also regularly assess our students to track progress and offer support to those who may be struggling with certain topics. MOAAZ keeps a Monday-Thursday schedule from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. This shortened school week was intentionally chosen to allow families more time together, as well provide greater opportunity for them to participate in extracurriculars and community events. We offer complete transparency in our curriculum and encourage parents to engage with their student’s learning.

Monsoon Speech Therapy
At Monsoon Speech Therapy, my mission is to partner with families to help every child find their voice and confidently communicate in everyday life. As both a speech-language pathologist and a retired homeschooling mom of four, I understand that children learn best through meaningful relationships, play, and real-life experiences—not just worksheets or sitting at a table. After homeschooling our children for 18 years, I have a deep appreciation for meeting each child where they are developmentally and recognizing that every child learns differently. My goal is to equip parents with practical strategies they can naturally incorporate into daily life so communication continues to grow long after each therapy session ends. Our practice specializes in individualized pediatric speech and language therapy for toddlers through teenagers. Services are provided in children's natural environments whenever possible, including homes, daycares, preschools, private schools, community settings, and homeschool co-ops throughout the Tucson area. Therapy is play-based, engaging, and evidence-based, focusing on each child's unique strengths, interests, and communication style. We serve children with speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, expressive and receptive language disorders, autism, social communication differences, literacy-based language challenges, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs. Every therapy plan is individualized because no two children learn the same way. One child may be developing first words through joyful play and parent coaching, another may be learning to tell stories, advocate for themselves, strengthen reading and language skills, or build confidence communicating with peers. Parents are an essential part of the therapy process, and I strive to provide practical coaching and home strategies that fit naturally into everyday family life rather than adding one more thing to an already busy schedule. My family has been deeply shaped by homeschooling, adoption, foster care, and raising neurodiverse children. These experiences have given me both personal and professional insight into the unique strengths and challenges many families experience. I understand that trust, regulation, connection, and felt safety are often the foundation for learning. My practice is trauma-informed, relationship-centered, and built on the belief that children thrive when they are understood, supported, and given opportunities to communicate in ways that honor who they are. My Christian faith has influenced the way I serve others—with compassion, integrity, patience, and the belief that every child is uniquely created in the image of God with inherent dignity, value, and purpose. While speech therapy sessions are always family-centered and welcoming to families of all backgrounds, I enjoy partnering with families who are seeking a clinician whose values reflect a Christian worldview. Over the years, I have served as an Awana leader for eight years, taught classes in homeschool co-ops, and remained actively involved in my local church community. These experiences have strengthened my passion for encouraging both children and the parents who faithfully invest in them every day. Families who choose Monsoon Speech Therapy are often looking for more than a weekly therapy appointment—they're looking for a trusted partner who will celebrate their child's strengths, provide evidence-based care, communicate openly, and encourage them throughout the journey. It is a privilege to walk alongside families as children grow in confidence, develop meaningful communication, and discover the joy of connecting with the people God has placed in their lives.

Helping my students make music with purpose is my life's work (not just a 'hobby'). In addition to private lessons, I teach Preschool Piano to students ages 4-6. We focus on making music from Day 1 by teaching music that students love to play! Gone are the days of students sitting with a method book reading 'one-note-at-a-time' (yawn). After all, shouldn't piano lessons be about making music? Our quarterly group lessons, summer camps and studio events help students form lasting friendships that make piano lessons more meaningful. Piano is often a solitary pursuit. No wonder students want to quit! Here, students are part of a supportive community. Once they become friends, they're eager to play for each other! To learn more about my studio, visit my website. Feel free to message me if you'd like to learn more! I would love to hear from you.

Private Vocal Lessons - Voice lessons with Nicole at Performers Playhouse
I teach weekly private voice lessons grounded in vocal pedagogy. My approach is simple: everything it takes to sing is a muscle. So we train those muscles the way an athlete trains, building toward the strongest, most controlled, and best sound your voice can make. Learning doesn't stop when the lesson ends. Every student gets a private online portal where I upload their weekly exercises, vocal performance tracks, and audition repertoire. Students are expected to practice there four times a week between lessons, so real progress happens week over week. My training is rigorous, and it's also genuinely fun. When you combine joy with hard work, there's nothing you can't do, and that combination has carried past students to Broadway, Disney, and American Idol. Strong vocal technique pays off far beyond singing. The same skills that power a great performance help you present to executives in a conference room, preach from the pulpit, and carry confidence into everyday conversation.

Rillito Holistic Occupational Therapy
Ms. Molly has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist in Arizona since 2013. She has experience in a variety of areas including home health pediatrics and school based services, pelvic floor, and dementia. What she loves most about this work is connecting with people and finding solutions that work for them. A guiding premise for her work is that behaviors are communication. Molly connects with her clients as whole people and addresses the underlying needs that are often overlooked. She works her magic by loving her clients right where they are at and building rapport. Once trust has been built we move mountains. Her current interests include addressing trauma through a sensory lense and working through emotional regulation challenges alongside clients and their families. One of Ms. Molly’s passions is working with a Neurodiverse population using a strengths based approach to promote well-being. The Rillito is a river that runs through the Arizona desert; rivers give life. When the waters are raging, we must learn to connect with the "Rio Abajo Rio;" the river below the river (Estes, 1989). This is the space that Molly works from and the space she connects others to. This connecting space is the foundation for healing and positive change that Molly brings to her clients. ~ Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves

A typical week may include an individualized therapy session, practical activities connected to the child’s homeschool routine, and caregiver coaching that helps families carry new skills into daily life. Rather than separating therapy from education, our clinicians look for meaningful ways to support participation in lessons, reading, writing, family routines, church activities, community experiences, and peer relationships. Recommendations are tailored to each child’s abilities, goals, interests, learning style, and homeschool curriculum whenever possible. We serve families seeking a more personal and collaborative alternative to traditional school-based services, including children with developmental delays, disabilities, neurodivergent learning profiles, or specific speech, language, motor, sensory, and feeding needs. If you're funded by the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) and looking for the ESA vendor list, the ESA vendor directory, or just trying to figure out how to find ESA vendors near you — the honest answer is that no single official list exists. Vendors are spread across three separate systems, and the one most parents miss is the curated directories that specialize in the categories they actually spend on.
This guide walks through every place ESA vendors live, the difference between ClassWallet marketplace vendors and Qualified Schools, and how to vet a vendor before you spend your award.
Last reviewed: 2026 program year. General information for Arizona ESA families, not legal or tax advice. Confirm current details on the Arizona Department of Education ESA page and inside ClassWallet.
Is there an official Arizona ESA vendor list?
No. The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) does not publish one master "list of ESA vendors." Instead, vendors live in three overlapping places:
- ClassWallet marketplace + Direct Pay vendors — the payment platform for ESA. Any business that sells to ESA families must be registered here.
- ADE Qualified Schools list — only full-time private schools that accept ESA tuition. This is a subset, not the whole vendor universe.
- Curated directories — sites like Arizona Christian Homeschools that specialize in the categories most homeschool families actually use: tutors, curriculum, therapy, microschools, hybrid programs, and enrichment.
If you're only searching ClassWallet's in-app catalog, you're missing hundreds of Direct Pay vendors — including most tutors, music teachers, therapists, and small microschools — that don't appear until you type their name into a Direct Pay Request (DPR).
How to find ESA vendors — the 4 places parents actually look
1. The ClassWallet marketplace (in-app search)
Log into your ClassWallet portal and use the marketplace tab. This is a curated storefront — think of it as an Amazon-style catalog of pre-approved curriculum, supplies, tech, and some services. You can shop and pay in-app; funds transfer instantly.
Limitations: the marketplace is mostly products, not services. Most tutors, therapy providers, microschools, and music teachers do not appear here. The marketplace is also less complete than families expect — many popular curriculum items require reimbursement outside the marketplace instead.
See our ClassWallet Guide for the mechanics.
2. ClassWallet Direct Pay vendor auto-complete
This is where most service vendors live. Inside ClassWallet, start a Direct Pay Request (DPR) and type the vendor's business name into the vendor field. If they're approved, they'll appear in the auto-complete dropdown. ClassWallet sends payment directly to the vendor; you never front cash.
The catch: you have to already know the vendor's name to search for them. There's no browsable list. That's why curated directories exist.
3. ADE Qualified Schools list
Only relevant if you're paying full-time tuition at a private school. ADE maintains a Qualified Schools list of private K-12 schools that meet the state's registration standard. Every school on that list can accept ESA Direct Pay for tuition and fees.
Homeschool families don't use Qualified School status. Microschools, hybrid programs (part-time), tutors, and enrichment providers are ClassWallet vendors, not Qualified Schools.
4. Curated ESA vendor directories
For services — tutors, curriculum, therapy, microschools, hybrid programs, music, martial arts, sports, co-ops — a curated directory is faster than any in-app search. Every listing in our directory has confirmed ESA acceptance:
→ Browse the Arizona ESA Vendor Directory
You can filter by city, category, and price. Most families use directories to build a shortlist, then verify each vendor inside ClassWallet before spending.
Browse ESA vendors by category and location
Rather than bury a static list inside this article, we keep the verified vendor directory live on the main browse page. You can filter by city, category, price range, and program type — then verify any vendor inside ClassWallet before you spend.
→ Browse all Arizona ESA vendors
How to vet a vendor before you spend ESA
Being on a list isn't the same as being a good fit. Before you commit funds:
- Confirm ESA acceptance directly. Ask the vendor to show you their ClassWallet vendor ID or a sample invoice from another ESA family. Legitimate vendors do this without hesitation.
- Ask about invoicing format. They should provide itemized invoices with student name, service dates, description, quantity, rate, and total. Non-itemized "lump sum" invoices are the #1 audit trigger.
- Direct Pay vs. reimbursement. Direct Pay (ClassWallet pays the vendor) is always better than reimbursement (you pay, then file). Confirm which flow they support.
- Fingerprint clearance and insurance. Any adult with unsupervised access to your child should hold an Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card. Businesses should carry general liability insurance.
- Refund and cancellation policy. Get it in writing before you pay. Some Direct Pay funds are non-refundable once disbursed.
- Receipt retention. You must keep receipts for four years after the school year in case of audit. Vendors who won't send clean receipts create audit risk for you.
For a deeper look at the audit process, see our Arizona ESA Audits Guide.
Red flags to avoid
- A vendor asking you to describe a service on the invoice as something else ("call it curriculum instead of tutoring").
- Cash-only or Venmo-only workarounds that bypass ClassWallet.
- No business entity (LLC / corp) and no EIN.
- No liability insurance or fingerprint clearance for programs with student contact.
- Pressure to buy an entire year in advance to "lock in" ESA funds.
- Invoices missing student name, service dates, or itemized descriptions.
Repeated non-approved spending can trigger a full ESA account review. Vet vendors before you spend, not after.
