God Made the World: Creation coloring page

God Made the World coloring page with animals, birds, sun, moon, and a Genesis 1:1 caption

The Creation page has animals, birds, mountains, water, and the sky to color. Read Genesis 1:1 together, then invite your child to point to something in the picture they have seen outside.

Jesus Loves Me: Jesus welcomes children

This page shows Jesus surrounded by children. Read Mark 10:13–16 in your family's Bible and talk about how Jesus welcomed them.

A note about the wording: The illustrated book uses short excerpts, simplified wording, and story summaries; it is not labeled as one particular Bible translation. For example, “God kept Noah safe” is a summary linked to Genesis 7, not a word-for-word verse. Read the referenced passage in your own Bible before treating a caption as a memory verse. Our separate outline-letter coloring and copywork PDFs use KJV text.

Choose the right printable for your child

Illustrated Bible coloring pages

Choose My Bible Coloring Book for children who enjoy pictures and stories. Younger children can color the larger shapes while an adult reads; children who like detail can spend longer on animals, clothing, and backgrounds. The drawings have some small spaces, so choose based on your child's interest rather than a strict age cutoff.

Short Bible verses in outline letters

Choose the 10-verse outline-letter PDF when the main goal is Scripture memorization. Children color the verse itself instead of a story scene. Pair one page with one verse from our Bible verses for kids by age and theme.

Bible verse tracing and copywork

Choose the copywork sheets for children who want to trace, then write a verse. Keep handwriting and memory work separate if doing both becomes tiring: a child can listen to the verse while coloring without completing a writing assignment.

How to print the coloring book

  1. Download the PDF above. The illustrated book is about 17 MB, so allow extra time on a slower connection.
  2. Open it in your device's PDF viewer. On a phone, you may need to save it to Files or Downloads first.
  3. Choose portrait orientation and “Fit” or “Fit to printable area.” US Letter paper is a convenient choice; use the fit setting for A4 too. Check the preview before printing.
  4. Print only the pages you need. Print PDF pages 2–9 to skip the cover, or select a single page from the table.
  5. Use one-sided printing if children will display their work. Ordinary paper works for crayons and colored pencils; thicker paper can be helpful for markers if your printer accepts it.

If an edge looks cropped in the print preview, change from “Actual size” to “Fit.” The PDF is the printable; the smaller images on this page are previews.

A simple Bible coloring activity for homeschool

Here is a suggested short session—not a required timetable:

  • Read: Open the referenced Bible passage and read a manageable portion aloud.
  • Talk: Ask one question from the table. Let your child answer in their own words.
  • Color: Offer crayons or pencils and allow the child to choose the colors.
  • Remember: Repeat one short verse or phrase from your chosen Bible translation.
  • Respond: Finish with a short prayer related to the passage.

You can place this activity at breakfast, during family devotions, or in a Bible slot on your homeschool schedule. For siblings, use the same story and different expectations: one child colors, another retells the passage, and an older child looks up the reference.

For another way to practice Scripture, try our free Bible typing lessons for kids. The typing activity is a separate collection; it does not automatically load the captions from this coloring book.

Match a coloring page to a Bible theme

  • Creation and gratitude: Color God Made the World, read Genesis 1:1, and name things to thank God for.
  • Trust in difficult situations: Choose God Made a Way, David and Goliath, or Daniel and the Lions. Read the story in context rather than presenting it as a promise that every hard situation will end the same way.
  • Jesus welcoming children: Pair Jesus Loves Me with Mark 10:13–16 and a conversation about Jesus' care for children.
  • Christmas Bible activities: Use Baby Jesus Is Born with Luke 2:1–20. Ask your child to retell the angel's announcement.

For the full text of these passages, use your family Bible or look them up on Bible Gateway. The verse reference—not the illustration—is the starting point for understanding the story.
